Public profile page

Your shareable shop window, a mini-website that shows who you are, what you offer, and how to book.

Not every pet-care business has a website. The public profile gives you one, a clean, professional page that shows your services, opening hours, photos, and contact details, all pulled automatically from what you've already set up in Barclo. No design work, no coding, no hosting to worry about.

The profile lives at: app.barclo.co.uk/site/{slug}

To manage it: Settings → Portal.

What's on the profile page

Everything on the profile is pulled from your existing settings, nothing needs to be entered twice:

  • Business name & logo, from Settings → Business Info.
  • Location (town/area), from your address in Settings → Business Info.
  • Phone & email, from Settings → Business Info.
  • Services & prices, from your Services list (only those set to show on the booking page).
  • Opening hours, from Settings → Working Hours.
  • About / bio, written in Settings → Portal (max 500 characters).
  • Photos, up to 8 photos, uploaded in Settings → Portal.
  • Social media links, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok URLs in Settings → Portal.

How it differs from the booking portal

The public profile is a separate shareable mini-site at app.barclo.co.uk/site/{slug}, distinct from the booking page at app.barclo.co.uk/book/{slug}. The profile is the shop window, it shows who you are and what you offer. The booking page is the booking engine, where clients take action and make an appointment. They work together: the profile has a prominent Book online button that takes clients straight to your booking link.

Think of it this way: a potential new client finds you on Instagram, clicks the link in your bio (your profile URL), reads about your services, sees your photos, checks your hours, and then clicks Book online. That's the journey. See Client booking portal for the other half.

Making your profile look great

A complete profile converts better than a sparse one. Here's what to add:

Cover photo, a wide, high-quality photo of you with dogs, your premises, or a happy client. This is the first thing people see. Upload it in Settings → Portal (PNG, JPEG, or WebP, max 6 MB).

Gallery photos, up to 8 photos. Dogs on walks, your grooming space, happy animals in your care. Real photos build trust far more than stock images. The first photo in the gallery appears most prominently.

About your business, 500 characters to say who you are. Mention your experience, qualifications, insurance, area, and anything that makes you stand out. Warm and personal beats corporate every time.

Social media links, add your Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok if you use them. Social proof (real posts, real dogs) is powerful for new clients deciding whether to book.

Sharing your profile

Your profile URL (app.barclo.co.uk/site/{slug}) is short enough to put anywhere. Use it in your Instagram bio, in the "website" field on your Facebook page, on a business card, or in local community groups. Anyone who visits it can see your services and click through to book, no phone call required.

Toggle the profile on or off. In Settings → Portal there's a Show public profile page toggle. If you're not ready to go public yet, leave it off. The profile page won't be visible. Turn it on when you're happy with how it looks.
